18th Century Mahogany Silver Table

This really is an exceptional quality Georgian mahogany silver table with fret gallery top, two drawers and original brass mounts, circa 1780 and in fabulous condition.

The table is beautifully proportioned and has been sympathetically restored, keeping those wonderful age marks but bringing up this fabulous rich tone and patina.

This table would work very well as a sofa table, but can also free stand as originally it was a display centre table so the rear of the table has faux drawer fronts and matching brass drawer pulls.

The simple fret gallery top is just from a decorative point of view and the single piece mahogany top is stunning. The two functioning drawers with the cock beading and are oak lined with just two boards and dovetailed. Both run smoothly as they should.

Below the drawers to the corners are simple strap brass mounts, standing on these very elegant tapered and fluted legs, finishing with their original brass finial feet.

Certainly a beautiful table and something you don't find too often of this quality and in such good original condition, with many possible uses!

28 1/2 inches or 72.5 cm table surface height
