An unusual small French provincial Empire period console table in cherrywood and retaining all its original brass collars, handles and faux escutcheon plate, circa 1840.
Lovely small size console table and has the most fabulous warm cherry glow after its clean and a few coats of beeswax polish. The detailed brass work contrasting so well with the cherrywood.
A full width drawer and the raised plinth shelf below.
Being a French provincial piece and from the early 19th century, it is absolutely no surprise that there are traces of long since gone worm activity, there is also a small loss to the back of the base plinth which I can restore if you would prefer, so please do get in touch.
