This is an exceptionally good quality French ''Bouillotte'' table in tulipwood and mahogany, with a chequer board inlay running throughout the table and a fretwork brass gallery around the Carrara marble top.Beautifully finished with the herringbone parquetry and supported on these very elegant tapered legs, terminating with square brass caps.The table has two drawers and two slides with the leather inset as Bouillotte was / is a card game, but this particular table has interesting drop handles with the round plate being a portrait which is a lovely touch.The marble is in a well cut Carrara and in good condition with no chips or splits.
