Description:
This is a fine quality antique English Victorian burr walnut and satinwood inlaid oval occasional table, circa 1870, in excellent original condition. The table incorporates an oval moulded top, with stunning bookmarked symmetrical burr walnut veneers and decorated with satinwood marquetry inlay to the perimeter. The table stands on a solid walnut frame, comprising two elegant bulbous carved legs, united by a central carved turned stretcher, transcending onto cabriole legs, decorated with floral carved detail to the knees. The table retains its original ceramic brass castors. An ideal occasional table to display silver or photo frames around the house.
Condition Report:
This is a fine quality antique English Victorian burr walnut and satinwood inlaid oval occasional table, circa 1870, in excellent original condition. The table has been cleaned and French polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. Nominal old use marks to the top, frame and leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). The burr walnut veneer work to the tabletop is in excellent original complete condition, along with the satinwood marquetry inlay. The table stands on its original brass & ceramic castors. This table is solid in joint and ready to use.
