Fine Regency Rosewood and Parcel Gilt Library Table

Description

This is a fine rosewood centre table with parcel gilt detail dating from the late Regency period, circa 1810. The table top has a handsome gadrooned edge with soft antique gilding. The base has a super design with the beautifully turned pedestal having reeded supports which sweep out to four hairy paw feet complete with claws. The table is in super condition with a soft warm colour and patina. It is a very useful size, the rectangular top 123 cms by 89 cms and the surface is 80 cms in height. This fine table would look elegant in any situation and has a multitude of uses for as well as being a grand centre table it could be used to dine at, seating 6 comfortably, or would make a very handsome desk.
