Beautiful Victorian Burr Walnut Sewing Table

Description

This is a lovely Victorian sewing table in very nice condition dating from around 1860. The upper cabinet section is beautifully veneered in burr walnut which has a stunning grain, fabulous colour and an excellent patina. The sewing box beneath has been upholstered in an attractive ivory and gold fabric and the legs and frame below are in solid hand carved walnut with good acanthus detail. The table is raised on its original porcelain castors. Inside the cabinet is in excellent order with its original pretty paper lining in nice clean condition. It has its original lock and key present, (no longer working) and the interior is still full of bobbins and other needlework items.

Neat proportions, it would fit just about anywhere measuring 70 cms high 52 cms wide by 40 cms deep.
