Description

A good early 19th century solid mahogany extending DINING TABLE of good colour and patina, with two additional leaves. Fully extended, the table will easily accommodate 10 place settings. There are two D-Ends, each with moveable 'gate' legs, that support up to two leaves, so no need for additional support bars underneath. There is also a full set of original brass clips.

This table was possibly made by Gillows but it is NOT stamped; the legs are typical however not unique, but the beading around the lower edge of the frieze, the style overall and construction of the supporting legs is much more unusual and very typical of Gillows craftsmanship.
