Raised upon square tapering supports , the well-selected figured mahogany rectangular top fitted a three-quarter gallery upstand with shaped ends . The soft-wood back-board to the reverse with ‘red-wash’ detail, a period detail used by the best quality cabinet-makers of the C18th.

This practical and decorative table is in excellent original condition and has achieved a rich colour and patina. Minor historic shrinkage crack to one end of the top .
