A very large Satsuma koro with an extremely well pierced lid . It is an early piece of satsuma which is very well decorated throughout and with excellently painted borders framing each panel .Amazingly it is in absolutely perfect condition , no damage , no restoration and no rubbing to the gilding .A rare piece of satsuma , signed in a cartouche on one of the panels .Don has been dealing in Meiji period art for 60 years , exhibiting in London , New York , Baltimore , Miami and Shanghai.
