Here we have an outstanding original George III Oak cricket table c1790. As you can see the table has excellent colour and patina. This is probably the best example we have had through our showrooms. There is a two plank top which has been carefully chosen and then quarter sawn to maximise the medullary rays within the Oak. Cutting it in this way has given a fantastic Tiger stripe look to this table top. The top and rest of the table is untouched and has never been cutback or re polished. The underside of the top has a lovely dark ring from fingers and hands picking up the table over the years. The base is of pegged construction and the legs are perfectly executed as is the undertier shelf. The legs have lost no length at all. A truly remarkable example in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 53 cm wide 73 cm high.
