Victorian French Carved Fruitwood and Marble Top Console Table

Description

Circa 1880, unusual Victorian French marble top console table. With a large variegated marble top (over 4cm thick) that has a shaped and moulded edge. The profusely carved fruitwood base with carved crown on full relief, above a cartouche with a coat of arms and amongst 3 sets of fleur de lis. Rococo carvings are to either side and are over reeded cabriole legs with cross-ribbon carving, open foliate carving to the back and C-scrolls.
