Victorian Ebonized and Walnut Antique Games Table

This spectacular 19th Century Victorian Ebonized and Walnut Antique Games Table / Card Table dates from ca. 1870 and has striking burr walnut banding along with fine boxwood inlays and decorative brass edges. The top swivels open to double its size and reveals a green baize playing surface under which can be found a concealed games storage compartment. This sits above four turned upright supports, a turned cross stretcher and four splayed legs with castors. This fine Victorian antique card table comes with wonderful charm and character and is a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
