Description:

Here is a fine quality antique English Victorian mahogany two-tier occasional side table, circa 1890, displaying a lovely rich colour, in excellent original condition. The table features a single plank moulded top, with a ring turned & scribe moulded gallery rail beneath, raised on ring turned supports. Additionally, the table features a lower, second shelf, along with another turned & moulded gallery rail, which also serves as an upstand, preventing items from rolling off. The table stands of ring turned legs, which terminate on the original solid brass & porcelain castors. The table features the original top and the frame has been constructed in the traditional joined manner for that period. This mahogany side table is solid in joint and ready to use.

Condition Report:

This English Victorian mahogany two-tier occasional side table is in excellent original condition, considering its age. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and frame, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The table has been French polished, by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. The table retains the original solid brass & porcelain castors. There are no breaks to the frame or legs. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
