The table boasts a single-plank top (a sign of quality), with a moulded edge, above a single working drawer. The drawer incorporates the original brass swan neck handles & shaped escutcheons. The oak-lined drawer is constructed with fine hand dovetail joints and the drawer front is decorated with cock beading. The drawer also retains the original working lock, with working key. The drawer runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. The table stands on four chamfered block legs. The table retains the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional manner for that period. Ideal for use a side table in a hallway, or even a small writing desk. The table is solid in joint and ready to use.

The table boasts a lovely mellow mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
