2'' Thick 3 Plank Large French Oak Monastery Table

1900 - 1920
Description

Really super French farmhouse or Monastery table in solid oak and to seat 8 to 10.

The table has a wonderful 2'' thick top and with just 3 wide planks with some lovely grain and colouring.

The table has a trestle style base and sledge feet.

The condition is very good throughout and as you can see from the photos the top of the table has worn through to a lighter tone to that of the base through use.

Fully cleaned and beeswax polished so it has a wonderful warm colour and finish.

For transport, the table does come to pieces, so access is no problem, although this is a heavy table!

29 inches or 74 cm high

38 1/2 inches or 98 cm wide

83 inches or 211 cm long

2 inches or 5 cm thick top

27 inches or 68.5 cm from the floor to underside

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
