Description

Early 20th Century French Kingwood bureau plat / desk, the brass moulded edge top having decorative brass engraved corner mounts, a green leather writing surface with blind and gold tooling, a central drawer below flanked either side with shaped drawers, the drawers having highly decorative ornate handles and brassware, the back of the desk in the same style as the front but having faux drawers, the sides having further brassware with lovely quality brass mask at the centre, shaped apron to the sides, supported on cabriole legs with bold brass mounts. The desk is in fantastic condition and all the brassware are original. Circa 1910.
