A Late 19th Century French Mahogany Bouillotte Lamp Table

Description

A good late 19th century French mahogany bouillotte lamp table in the late Louis XVI style, the circular top with pierced brass gallery enclosing a fossil marble top over a frieze fitted with one oak lined drawer with brass handle and with a brass string course, with a block over each support inlaid with a brass diamond, on square tapering supports with brass feet. French circa 1890.

Condition: Excellent; the table is robust and stable, the timber has good grain and colour. The brasswork is all present and the top has a good variety of patterns and colours. There are a couple of superficial fissures in the marble however these are of no account.
