In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1800s.
It is in good original condition with a nice rich patina. At some point the drawer has had knobs and the holes they've left have been plugged. There are normal signs of age and use, some light knocks and surface marks and old ink stains but nothing detrimental. There is an old shrinkage split between the back plank of wood (see photos) but this hasn't affected the table structurally or aesthetically and it is strong and sturdy. There are some historic woodworm holes which have all been treated as a precaution. Overall it displays very nicely and is a good honest table.
The table has been cleaned and given a light wax and is ready for use. The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
