Unusual French 19th century Empire period marble top Gueridon centre table with beautifully carved lions paw feet, a wonderful pale walnut pedestal base and a very unusual marble top for this period.The marble top is a pale grey with charcoal grey veins with a simple beaded edging. Typically, you would find these tables with a much darker marble, which as this is a large example, helps to keep this feeling lighter.The pedestal is a hexagonal balustrade style with a triform platform leading to those stunning lions paw feet.This will make a wonderful large hall centre table, but has a standard table height so could work as a 4 to 5 seater dining or breakfast table too.Fabulous table in nice original condition. Some nibbles to the edge of the marble top, but nothing of any concern.
