Grey Vein Marble Top Gueridon Centre Table

Description

Unusual French 19th century Empire period marble top Gueridon centre table with beautifully carved lions paw feet, a wonderful pale walnut pedestal base and a very unusual marble top for this period.

The marble top is a pale grey with charcoal grey veins with a simple beaded edging. Typically, you would find these tables with a much darker marble, which as this is a large example, helps to keep this feeling lighter.

The pedestal is a hexagonal balustrade style with a triform platform leading to those stunning lions paw feet.

This will make a wonderful large hall centre table, but has a standard table height so could work as a 4 to 5 seater dining or breakfast table too.

Fabulous table in nice original condition. Some nibbles to the edge of the marble top, but nothing of any concern. Good solid piece and a great decorative antique.

Measuring:

30 inches or 76.5 cm high

41 inches or 104 cm diameter

20 6/ quarter inches or 66.5 cm height underneath
