Description

Hugely appealing large circular dining/farmhouse/kitchen Table, 64 inches diameter. constructed in the most exceptionally well figured fruitwood which has faded to the most glorious pale, milky colour. The top has two drop leaves which fold down enabling storage against a wall, and is supported on a simple four leg base which provides rigidity and allows for easy seating all the way round.

Probably of French origin and made about 1840. Large circular tables of this age are extremely rare, seating eight in comfort and a 'cosy' ten. It would work equally well in a contemporary dining room, a country farmhouse or a swish open-plan kitchen.

with flaps down top is 64 inches by 31 inches.
