Description

A stunning Moorish "Damascus” or Syrian marquetry games table for cards, chess, draughts and backgammon. The top lifts to reveal a baised inset playing surface which also lifts to the backgammon board with the chess board to the reverse. The whole raised on serpentine shaped legs and profusely inlaid throughout with geometric designs in boxwood, ebony, mother of pearl, olive and various other exotic woods. Condition- Very good. Dimensions:- Height…29.5’’/ 75cm. Width…33’’/ 84cm. Depth…16.75’’/ 42.5cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £50.
