Description

A large farmhouse table with two drawers, dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. The top has lovely thick pine planks and the base has the original stained finish. The table stands on square tapering legs, joined by a H-stretcher. The large drawers have their original turned knobs and are generally clean and tidy inside and open well.

It is in good condition with the usual signs of age and use. There are various marks, cuts and old splits in the top that come together to create a wonderful worn patina. There have been some old repairs on the legs and they have been tipped to make them taller but they are strong and sturdy. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.

It is very practical and a good height to sit at with ample leg clearance of 25" all the way around. The table has good wide proportions, making it plenty big enough to seat 6-8 comfortably and allow for room down the middle of the table for serving dishes.
