Early Georgian Oak Side Table

Description

A fine and original early Georgian period oak side table. The table stands on straight tapered club legs with pad feet. The pad feet are beautifully and delicately carved up on their toes, it is also worth noting that all four legs are carved and shaped and not just the front as is often the case. The front legs have the most wonderful and deeply carved lapetted tops which unite with the shaped design of the front apron. The single drawers has the original lining and brass handle. The top has a great overhang typical of early tables and has a delicate thumb nail moulded edge. The whole is in great untouched country house condition with the original colour and patina. A great example of country furniture C.1760.
