Description:
This is a lovely antique English flame mahogany circular occasional table, circa 1870, displaying lovely colour and in good original condition. The table boasts an attractive flame mahogany circular top with a moulded edge. The table is raised on a turned central column, which incorporates bulls eye moulding and is secured at the bottom to a large moulded circular tripod base, terminated on three scroll feet. The table is solid in joint and ready to use. This table is completely original (i.e. the top and the base are not a marriage) and has lovely colour and patination and would be ideal as an occasional, lamp or wine table in any room in the house.
Condition Report:
This wine table is in good original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and top, but nothing significant, considering the age of the item. The top and base are original to each other. The supporting column and base are in good original condition. The table has been French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop. The table sits on its original scroll feet. The table boasts a fantastic rich colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. The item is solid in joint and ready to use.
