Description:
This is a good quality provincial antique English Georgian solid mahogany side table, circa 1800, displaying a stunning colour & patination, in excellent condition. The table incorporates a single-plank top (a sign of quality), with a moulded edge, above three working drawers. The drawers incorporate old replacement turned wooden knobs. The oak-lined drawers are constructed with fine hand dovetail joints and the drawer fronts are decorated with scribe moulding. The central drawer also retains its original working lock, with working key. The drawers run smoothly and close flush to the frame. The table stands on four chamfered block legs. The table retains the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional manner for the period. The table has been French polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop. Ideal for use a side table in a hallway, or even a small writing desk. The table is solid in joint and ready to use.

Condition Report:
This Georgian mahogany side table is in excellent condition. The table has been wax-polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, drawer front and top, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). The drawer is in good working order; they retain the original drawer linings, and the drawers close flush to the frame. The drawers have old replacement (most likely Victorian) turned wooden knobs. The table features the original top and backboard to the rear. There are no breaks to the frame or legs. The frame has been constructed in the traditional manner for that period. It has a fantastic rich colour and patination. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
