Fine Quality Italian 19th Century Renaissance Style Walnut & Marble Centre Table

A fine quality Italian 19th century Renaissance style walnut and marble centre table of slender proportions.

This table consists of a rectangular Portoro marble top supported in a walnut recessed top with moulded edge and carved outer moulding leading down to a shaped frieze.

This leads down to the superbly carved end supports, joined with a shaped central stretcher, the supports consisting of finely carved angels, stylised scallop shell, foliate and floral designs with finely carved collar and terminating with carved scroll supports with moulded plinth.

This table is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home, the marble has evidence of an old repair but this is stable.

This is a versatile table due to the size and would be ideal for either a narrow hallway or room or maybe behind a sofa.
