Andros Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.
The legs are of generous proportions with finely carved leaf decoration to the knees, and a thin Rosewood banding leading down to the finely cast brass castors. The platform is itself cross banded and leads up to a gloriously shaped centre pillar, once again cross banded with a carved moulding to its base.
The generous length drawer offers storage space, and although the table has a relatively small footprint, once the leaves are raised the table offers a very good-sized top.
A very versatile piece of furniture that is not only useful but extremely decorative as well.
