Here is a fine quality antique Regency silky oak & rosewood sewing worktable (circa 1820), in good condition.

Description:

Here is a fine quality antique Regency silky oak & rosewood sewing worktable (circa 1820), in good original condition. Constructed with a northern silky oak frame, the sewing table boasts a lovely silky oak grain configuration & patination to the top, accompanied by twin rosewood cross banding, including a sandwiched edge. The lid opens to reveal a pale duck egg blue pleated upholstered work box, with cream coloured braiding. The sewing table retains the original working lock, with working key. The table stands on tapering splayed legs, united by cross-stretchers, for stability.

Condition Report:

This worktable is in good condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The top is clean and free from stains or any other damage. The table retains the original working lock, with working key. The upholstery to the sewing box is clean and in good condition. As the worktable features the original polish, it boasts a lovely colour and patination. This worktable is solid in joint and ready to use.
