Elegant Victorian Antique Kidney Shaped Satinwood Occasional Side Table

Dating from the late 19th Century around 1890 in the Victorian period this Elegant Antique Kidney Shaped Satinwood Occasional Side Table has a beautifully figured top with ebonized string inlay and chequer banded edge. Only quality tables were made from such premium grade satinwood, due to its expense, and this tables credentials are further enhanced by the craftsmanship needed to create the chequered edge that surrounds the top. This fine antique table stands elegantly on four splayed legs with a delicate shaped X framed centre and central ornate turned motif. The Satinwood has aged to a golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
