Regency Octagonal Mahogany Games Table.

Description

A Regency mahogany games table ,the top with an outer band of satinwood strung with ebony and an inner band of harewood strung with brass.The centre is pale veneered mahogany and the games board has alternate squares of rosewood and tamo ash,an expensive veneer imported from Japan.The octagonal stem is mahogany with alternate brass strips on to a circular platform with three brass inlaid scroll legs. Good colour and condition,English Circa 1820.
