Carse Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
The round top has been quarter veneered in mirror fashion also in kingwood and has a nice shape gilded brass moulding around the edge. The freize has a very pleasing kick down shape where it meets the legs on all sides. Each section of the freize has a very nice gilded urmulu moulding to it. The underneath of the table is oak.

Most of this type of furniture you see around is late 19th to, in many cases, 20th century but this table is definitely a lot earlier than that, the quality of the urmulu is superb and way better than the later stuff.

The table is in very good condition, the gilding could be brightened up if you wanted but personally I like it as it is. There are a couple of minor veneer repairs required to one leg but this is included in the price.
