A super Oak Library table from the Moberly Library, Winchester College.
Designed by Herbert Baker (1862-1946). Baker worked very closely with Sir Edwin Lutyens in the designing of New Delhi - the Viceroy’s House, Parliament House and the Secretariat were amongst his commissions. He also was instrumental in designing many buildings in South Africa. He also designed one of the grandstands at Lord’s cricket ground, India House in Aldwych and South Africa House.
In very good condition, as expected from its years of library use there are some very minor knocks and old ring marks.
Now available from our large showroom in Marlborough, Wiltshire.
