Andros Antiques has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The slender legs are line inlaid on all sides, with a marquetry decoration to each front face. The curved stretcher rails are similarly line inlaid to all faces, with a fan inlay at the central meeting point. The brackets are all fan inlaid, and the rim is line inlaid to all sides.
The edge of the top is line inlaid, and the top surface itself has a Satinwood banding, inlaid line and a glorious central motif as the icing on the cake. With the rich warm colour of the mahogany showcasing the inlay superbly, it is a real showpiece of the cabinet makers skills. Sure to be the centre of attention in any room setting.
