Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Georgian solid mahogany occasional side table, circa 1800, displaying a lovely mellow colour, in excellent original condition. The table incorporates a single-plank top (a sign of quality), with a moulded edge, above a single working drawer. The drawer incorporates later brass swan neck handles & shaped escutcheons. The handles were probably added during Victorian times. The oak-lined drawer is constructed with fine hand dovetail joints and the drawer front is decorated with cock beading. The drawer runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. The table stands on four tapering block legs. The table retains the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional manner for that period. Ideal for use a side table in a hallway, or even a small writing desk. The table is solid in joint and ready to use.

Condition Report:
This table is in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, drawer front and top, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). The drawer is in good working order; it retains the original drawer linings, and closes flush to the frame. The drawer retains its original solid brass handles and escutcheons. The table features the original top and backboard to the rear. There are no breaks to the frame or legs. The frame has been constructed in the traditional manner for that period. As the table boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic mellow colour and patination. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
