Tom Scott Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.

The table has not been stripped back and re polished as I personally prefer to retain the original colour and patina and leave some of these age and use related marks. It has been cleaned and I am currently applying multiple coats of beeswax to bring up the finish and will also conceal most of the marks too.

Extended as you see it, you can seat 8 in comfort and the twin pillar base you don't tend to get your feet tangles up in the legs and a carver arm chair should tuck under nicely too.
With the leaf removed, you have a comfortable 6 seater. Also, if you wanted the table out of the way, the two ends are on a tilt mechanism so you can push the two ends into corners of a room, or use the two ends as console tables.
