A very good quality and lovely original condition Victorian burr walnut games table, but also stands beautifully as a console table too. Circa 1880.
Lovely tone to the burr walnut and with the cut away corners to the front and also being finished on the rear, the table stands well as a console table and hides its dual use as a games table well.
Also important to mention, the top doesn''t ''smile'' meaning it hasn''t warped, which is so common with games tables and tea tables.
Four very well carved and turned legs with a sweeping stretcher and stands on all four original castors.
The interior of the games table surface is in great condition too. The red baize is finished with a light tooling edge and has light signs of age and use. Original brass hinges too.
Lovely piece and in very nice original condition.
