Beautiful Victorian Mahogany Antique Games Table by A Blain & Son, Liverpool

This Beautiful early 19th century Victorian Mahogany Antique Games Table is stamped by the renowned cabinet makers A Blain & Son, Liverpool and dates from ca. 1840. It has a reeded edge and the top opens to double the size, supported by two gate leg swinging legs. The interior is beautifully figured with concave counter wells in each corner for gaming chips. The table frieze is beautifully inlaid with ebony and satinwood stringing and has a central flamed mahogany panel. This fine antique games table stands on beautifully turned legs and it has aged to a rich Mahogany shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
