French Marble Top Occasional Table

19th century
Description

Circa 1880, French Third Republic period marble top, circular occasional table. With a dark variegated speckle marble with a classic ogee moulded fore-edge. Beneath is a deep apron with gilded brass mounts throughout, and 4 gilded face masks at the top of each of the legs. It stands on 4 turned, fluted, twisting, tapering legs with mounts on 3 locations and finishing on a cast brass sabot or toe.

Size 75 cm high x 54 cm diameter
