Rare Early 18th Century Oak 'Cricket' Table

Description

Rare early 18th century oak 'cricket' table of good faded colour and patina; the circular swivelling top with three shallow leaves hinged to the segmentally-planked and feather-banded centre-bed.  Mounted on a triangular base with simple turned legs and stretchers.  Provenance: Bought from Phillips of Hitchen in 1937 and then by family descent.

We deal in 18th and early 19th century furniture, barometers and clocks. We choose our stock for its originality and for the quality of its colour, patination and design.

We are members of the BADA. We do not exhibit at fairs preferring to deal from our Cambridge shop where we hold an Open Weekend every November.
