Description

This is a very tasteful pair of antique Regency Period papier mache and parcel gilt tables. The hand painted tables date from around 1820 and have beautiful vasiform turned supports with triform scrolled supports and attractive solid brass ball feet. The table tops are lacquered papier mache with hand painted acanthus leaf gilt detail to the centres and corners on each. In general the tables are in excellent condition for their age with some craquelure and a just a few age related marks to the tops.

The tables measure 56 cms high with the surfaces being 45 cms by 37 cms.
