Tom Scott Antiques has dated this piece to the 1880s.

The pale sage green leather top is also, in my opinion, in lovely condition. As you can see, there are marks to it and an ink stain, but this does give it great character and reminds you that this piece can be used and not just looked at!

The craftsmanship to this piece really is on the highest order, no doubt at all that this is the best bureau plat I have had the pleasure of handling. Such a decorative piece, fantastic condition and great quality.

This piece can be used in a number of positions, as a bureau plat, a dressing table, a sofa table, a console table etc.
