WelshAntiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
(The central plank is made up of two sections - see close-up). It would make a good dining table but, equally, looks very well as a serving table or dresser. It is easily taken apart for moving, but is, nevertheless, very sturdy when assembled.

This table was formerly used in the boardroom of a small family steelworks on the border between Carmarthenshire and west Glamorgan, west Wales, and has been in daily use as my own office table (piled high with files!) for the last 25 years. It would benefit from a good polish.
