Waterfall Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
It is in solid oak of a gloriously rich colour with a deep patina and a soft lustre shine. The cleated four-plank top has a simple frieze apron with a single drawer at one end, all supported on square-section gently tapering legs. At 74cms, it is the perfect height, and there is ample clearance for the knees under the apron when seated on any standard-height dining chair. It is structurally sound, has a superb colour, and it dates from c.1850s.
