Here is a fine quality antique English Edwardian mahogany folding drop leaf side table, circa 1910, displaying a lovely rich colour, in excellent original condition. The table boasts a moulded three-leaf rotating folding top, displaying central floral marquetry inlay and satinwood string inlay. The top is folded open by raising the two leaves and then rotating the top clockwise by 90°, whereby the leaves will be naturally supported by the length of the table. Below is a single flush working drawer, which is mahogany lined, hand dovetailed and runs smoothly. It also features the original swan neck brass handle & floral escutcheon and is decorated with further satinwood string inlay. Below, the table features shaped spandrels to the front & rear. Further below, the straight tapering block legs, which also feature string inlay, are united by a shelf. The shelf boasts a pierced fretwork gallery, as well as floral marquetry and further satinwood string inlay. The table legs terminate on the original brass & mug castors. The item is solid in joint and ready to use.
