This design of table is also known as a top-slider because the top slides away from the legs as it expands giving more legroom to seat two people at the ends of the table if required. Would also make a good boardroom or conference table.

Sympathetically cleaned and repolished by hand using traditional methods to highlight the grain and give a golden honey oak colour to the top, medullary rays from the quarter-sawn cut of the oak produce the attractive ‘tiger grain’ pattern. The Gillows pattern of double solid mahogany runners gives strength to the entire length and any number or combination of the leaves can be used. There are some signs of age including drying lines, scuffs and dents and there is an old repair to the edge of the top along the join at one end. The winder handle is included.
