Description

A George 3rd period tripod table with a superbly figured solid mahogany one piece top(one piece top traditionally more desirable). The slender vase shaped stem leads onto three cabriole legs that have none of the usual breaks or repairs. The tilting mechanism is as it was made and still works smoothly. At 25 3/4 inches tall it is possibly a little lower than is usual, but there are no signs of of a later reduction in height and it could have been made to accompany a certain chair. The top has been repolished at some stage but overall you would say that it is in excellent condition.
