Andros Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.

Standing on a turned and facetted column, itself made from a variety of timbers and veneers, leading down to the shaped legs, themselves decoratively veneered and topped off with some fine brass beadwork wrapped around the toes. The top is supported by a highly decorative apron, showing the full colour palette of the various veneers on offer.

The top is the table’s crowning glory with a mixture of burr and exotic veneers, enhanced by various crossbandings and inlaid lines, combined in the best way to show off each individual species quality. The top itself is edged in a brass bead moulding.

Further evidence of the extremely high quality of this table is provided by the label underneath of the renowned cabinet makers Druce and Co of Baker St.
