Elegant early C19th Regency period mahogany fold-over card or games table .

The figured mahogany fold-over and swivel top with a green baize-lined interior. Raised on a four-splay base with reeded decoration , supported on a turned pillar column . The terminals of the legs with ball feet concealing original brass castors .

The edge of the top with carved beaded decoration , the front frieze flanked by leaf-carved shaped blocks . The central frieze with a figured veneer reserve surrounded by conforming bead decoration .

The table benefits from having been sympathetically re-polished and cleaned approximately 20 years ago , and has a good mellow colour and patina. A faint line of shadow in the colour of the top from exposure to sunlight.

A useful and elegant period table with the practicality of multiple uses .
