Early 19th Century Primitive Antique Work Table

This is a rare, cricket form of primitive antique table, a working table having an iron winder winch to the thick elmm top. The iron winder lifts out of it's bracket to leave a metal sleeve inset into the elm top. The elm top has worn away along one edge due to years of use. In very good condition, the elm top is a fabulous colour, it is held by three simple fruitwood legs that are also a beautiful colour. From the North of England and dating from the late Georgian period around 1810. A lovely example of a primitive country working antique table.
